About "Marrissa blogs"

What is this?

This is the home of Marissa blogs, an adventure web strip in the fashion of the newspaper strips from the past.
The main purpose of this adventure web strip is to get an audience to return to your website regularly.

The adventure web strips are set up so that the first panel brings the reader up to speed. The last panel contains a cliffhanger designed to get the audience to return so they can read the next installment.

The adventure web strips are designed to be published on your website and they update automatically every Monday. Please visit the usage page for information on how to embed the adventure web strip into your website.

What are the episodes about?

Marissa earns a living through ads on her blog. Her curiosity constantly gets her into trouble as she goes out to investigate leads like a modern-day detective, solving real-world crimes and reporting on them on her blog.
If you want to preview the adventures before you add them to your site, please visit ayalpinkus.nl for more information.

Why is it free?

When chewing gum came to market, people didn't buy it because they didn't know what it was. The manufacturer had to give it away for free so people could learn about the product.
The Marissa blogs adventure web strips are currently offered for free because it is a new mechanism that has to prove itself: using an adventure web strip to get an audience to return to a website regularly.

Which languages are supported?

The adventure web strips can currently be shown in English and Dutch but they can be translated to other languages on request and for a fee.

I am interested. What now?

You are free to just add the adventure web strip to your site! See usage for instructions.
To get many people to check it out, a solid collaborative p.r. campaign could accompany the start of publication of the adventure web strip on your website.
